"Rory" is a beautiful
doe - very dairy, with lovely conformation, and polled! She also carries strong show and milk genetics on both
sides of her pedigree. In 2006, her sire's dam, ARMCH Sugar Creek's Silhouette 6*D "E", held the AGS
record for milk volume on One Day Testing: 6.8 pounds (second freshening) and actually surpassed that amount in 2007 by milking
6.9 pounds as a third freshener. Silhouette also performed well with 305-Day DHIR, milking 1141 pounds as a second freshener
in 2006. It is no surprize then, that Rory is one of our best milkers, with an easy-to-milk udder that is firmly attached
and milks down to nothing.
2011 Update - After producing only bucklings
in her two prior kiddings, our beloved Rory has finally blessed us with doelings! Rory's third freshening udder is wonderful
and she continues to milk up a storm. This makes it an easy decision to keep her gorgeous little buckling intact for use as
a future herdsire. Of course, there was never any doubt that the doelings would be staying.
