The first time I saw Shadow, I couldn't take my eyes off him.
The stunning combination of the glossy black coat and those startlingly blue eyes is mesmerizing. He is a very handsome
boy with lovely conformation - long, level and refined with high, tight withers; angularity; great width across
his thurls; a strong, wide chest; and an absolutely beautiful head with a dishy face and nicely-set ears.
One
look at his pedigree and it is easy to see why he is so nice. And not only does he posses strengths in conformation,
but there are also some wonderful milk genetics behind this guy - lots of Gay-Mor as well as the much-admired Raising Arizona
++S. We are expecting Shadow to pass on udder capacity, high and wide rear attachment, strong medial, and
his overall lovely general appearance.
2010 Update: Moonshadow's daughters are everything we hoped they
would be. We have retained Peppercorn's daughter, "Binna Burra".
2011 Update: More beautiful
daughters and just too nice to let go. We have retained Melody and Madison Blues (another Peppercorn daughter).
We included both of these doelings as "Youngstock" in our 2011 linear appraisal. Melody scored V,Ec,+ (V)
and Madison scored V,Ec,V (V).
