| Winter Dawn at Kyeema Ridge Farm at our former location in New Hampshire. |
"Kyeema" is an Australian Aboriginal word
meaning "dawn". We chose this as the name for our farm in New Hampshire because when we moved there in
2005, it was like the beginning of a new day - full of promise and new experiences ... not the least of which was immersing
ourselves into the wonderful world of breeding, raising, milking and showing dairy goats!
In August 2010 we
relocated to Holland, Michigan. Since there are no ridges on or near our farm here, we named our farm
in Michigan "Live a Little Farm". However, we have such wonderful memories of our time in New Hampshire, that
we decided to continue using "Kyeema Ridge" as our herd name.
Live a Little Farm
is home to our much-loved herd of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. These exceptional little goats provide us with an abundant
supply of milk and endless hours of entertainment. Their unique personalities and inherently friendly nature make them an
absolute pleasure to care for. They are full of curiosity and joie de vivre ... and they are always ready for a neck rub.
Are you a workaholic? Feeling stressed? Then you need to consider getting a couple of these little goats. I
wholeheartedly recommend "goat gazing" as the most effective stress reliever you could ever hope to find!
It is impossible to spend time with these goats and not smile.
